Grace Pettis at Dyck Arboretum

The Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, 117 W. Hickory St., Hesston, will host Austin-based folk/pop singer Grace Pettis at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. ‘How Much Can We Control?’

An exhibit of MFA students’ works, titled “How Much Can We Control?,” is at Wichita State University’s Clayton Staples Gallery. The juried exhibit features a variety of mediums and the works address issues of control in art and life. The exhibit is on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through Feb. 8. Opera on screen

The Murdock Theatre, 536 N. Broadway, will show a live HD video of the Metropolitan Opera’s performance of “Les Troyens” (The Trojans), a French opera composed by Hector Berlioz.
