Four people escaped injury early Wednesday morning in a drive-by shooting a few blocks west of Wesley Medical Center, police said.

Several shots were fired at a house in the 600 block of North Green shortly before 3 a.m., Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s northeast of Central and Grove and about five blocks west of the hospital.

Two shots hit the front of the house and five shell casings were found in the street, Nolte said. The four people in the house ranged in age from 3 to 33, but none were hit by bullets, fragments or debris.

A car was seen speeding away from the area, Nolte said, but no description was available. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is encouraged to call 911 or the investigations section at 316-268-4646.

The people in the house said they have not had disputes with anyone and have no idea why they would have been targeted, Nolte said.
