The Milwaukee Wave scored a pair of three-point goals in the fourth quarter and beat the Wings 12-6 on Monday afternoon in Milwaukee.
The Wave led 4-0 at halftime, but the Wings pulled even in the third quarter with goals by Frederico Moojen and Andrew Hoxie before the Wave went back ahead 6-4 late in the third quarter.
A goal by Miguel Ferrer made it 6-6 at 1:58 of the fourth quarter. The Wave took the lead for god when Jonathan Greenfield blasted home a three-point shot at 5:04. Israel Sesay’s empty-net three-pointer at 13:53 sealed the Wings’ fate.
The Wave has won seven in a row. The loss halted the Wings’ three-game winning streak. Wichita returns to action on Sunday afternoon at the Missouri Comets.
