Non-emergency phone line activated for New Year’s Eve

Sedgwick County Emergency Communications officials are activating a non-emergency phone line that can be used to make noise complaints and report other instances that don’t pose a danger to life or property.

Those who want to register a complaint about fireworks or a noisy party are asked to call the non-emergency number, 290-1011, between 6 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Those who call 911 with a non-emergency will be transferred to the non-emergency line.
