Each Monday, The Eagle highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For a complete list of You Oughta Know columns, go to www.kansas.com/oughta/.

The record: A list of the 25 most popular statistical tables from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Why you’d want it: To learn more about the KDHE and trends across the state.

Where you get it: Go to KDHE’s website, www.kdheks.gov. From the “KDHE Data and Reports” menu on the home page, click on the “25 Most Requested 2011 Annual Statistical Tables” link.

How much does it cost: The information is free.
