Starting Tuesday, Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita will expand to include Reno and Rice counties as part of its Children’s Miracle Network, Via Christi announced on its website.
Via Christi’s current service area includes Butler, Harvey and Sedgwick counties.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals help families pay for expenses not covered by insurance, such as medication and travel expenses if they have a child in the hospital.
According to network officials, Via Christi’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have provided more than $15 million to families since 1984.
