A 43-year-old man reported to police that someone from whom he was planning to buy an iPhone pulled a gun on him early Friday.

Sgt. Bruce Watts said the man met a couple about 12:05 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a store in the 3300 block of North Rock Road to buy an iPhone from them.

Instead of conducting a transaction, one of the people pulled a handgun on him, he told police. He was not injured and was able to get away. The suspect fled the scene in a 1997 Saturn two-door coupe with a personalized vehicle tag, Watts said.
