Police say a man used a Taser to rob a clerk at a Dillons fuel center in northwest Wichita on Saturday morning.

The robbery at the gas station at 13th and Tyler was reported shortly before 6:30 a.m. The man went to pump No. 10 with a red gas can and pushed the “help” button, Sgt. Bruce Watts said. A clerk left the building to help him and was hit with the Taser under the arm, ordered to return to the office and give the man cash. The man left on foot walking northbound on Tyler carrying the gas can and a bag of money.

The man was described as black, about 25 years old, 5-foot-9 and about 175 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, black pants, black gloves and a white hooded coat, Watts said.

The clerk did not require medical attention, Watts said.
