Laughs at the Loony Bin

The Loony Bin Comedy Club, 6140 E. 21st St., will host comedian Mike Speenberg for shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Speenberg has performed with comedians such as Lewis Black and Bob Saget. Tickets to the shows are $10 and are available at www.loonybincomedy.com or by calling 316-618-4242.

End of the world party

Lucky’s Everyday, a bar at 1217 E. Douglas, will be partying like the Mayans are right with an “End of the World Party” starting at 9 p.m. Friday. The party will feature Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy as well as various deejays through the night. Admission is $5. Drink specials include an Apocalypse shot for $5 and Free State beers for $4. Surviving the end of the world party

The Shamrock Lounge at 1724 W. Douglas will be partying like the Mayans weren’t right with an “If You Survived the End of the World” party starting at 9 p.m. Saturday.
