There are only a few days until the end of the year. Please stop expecting your doctor to “get everything done before the end of the year because I’m off work and my deductibles are met.” Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours.

Looks like Bob Costas was right about our “gun culture” after all. He just said it 12 days earlier than the rest of us.

Awesome – President Obama appoints Joe Biden to handle changes in gun policy. Obviously, even Obama wants to sweep it under the rug.

All elected officials should be accountable for upholding the Second Amendment, which states in part that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Voting to abridge this right deserves immediate removal from office by the constituency they represent.

Would Congress remain as silent if the same number of Americans died annually in airline accidents as do by firearms?

I think if the gun laws are changed that it should be from the state level instead of federal level. Keep Washington out of it.

Isn’t it ironic that most of the people who are anti-abortion are also pro-gun? All life is sacred, not just the lives of the unborn.

Based on what I’ve seen, heard and read, our societal problems are my fault as a gun-owning, pro-choice, employed, insured, equal rights-advocating, feminist lesbian who isn’t racist for disliking President Obama. My bad.

I’m getting tired of House Speaker John Boehner negotiating with himself. Congress should just extend the Bush tax cuts and go home for Christmas.

More mumbo jumbo double-talk about the Exchange Place project. Nobody wants to live downtown with all the bird droppings, homeless people and late-night gunfights at the Old Town corral.

To the father changing a baby’s diaper on a table at Subway inside Walmart: This is so wrong on so many levels. Most stores have restrooms with changing tables for this purpose. If not, take the baby home. Common sense is not so common anymore.

So only a “western Kansas bumpkin” backs into a parking space? I’m sorry, but when one drives an ordinary-sized car and constantly finds oneself sandwiched between 7-foot-tall pickups and SUVs, it’s safer to back in and drive out. It matters not at all where you’re from.
