Four candidates have filed to replace Kansas senator-elect Michael O’Donnell on the Wichita City Council bench, including two former council members.

Former council members Paul Gray, 4416 W. Doris, and Stan Reeser, 2551 S. Hiram, are seeking O’Donnell’s 4th District seat on the council. Others filing are Joshua Blick, 2039 S. Everett; and Jeff Blubaugh, 10915 W. Atlanta Circle.

The candidates will participate in District 4 advisory board interviews at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Lionel Alford Branch Library, 3447 S. Meridian. Council members will interview candidates on Jan. 8.

The candidate chosen will temporarily replace O’Donnell, whose seat will be permanently filled in the April 9 city election.
