Nonprofit seeking new and used medical equipment

Independent Living Resource Center’s Medical Equipment Recycling Network (MERN) needs donations of new and lightly used wheelchairs and adaptive bath equipment for distribution locally.

Among the items MERN needs are shower benches, commodes, grab bars, stool risers, wheeled walkers, quad canes, non-motorized wheelchairs and blood pressure kits. Donations may be tax deductible.

Donations are accepted weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 3303 W. Second St. North.

People in need of equipment may call 316-942-6300 to check on availability.
