The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan is in effect for the city of Wichita only.
• EARP allows motorists who are involved in a non-injury accident to move their vehicles, exchange information with the other driver involved and report the accident within 24 hours of occurrence. If there is an injury or alcohol use is suspected, call 911 and officers will respond to the accident.
• Motorists can get an accident form at area QuikTrips or police substations or can report the accident online at www.wichitapolice.com.
Closings, postponements:
• No school closings in Sedgwick County have been reported so far.
• Wichita school district (USD 259) buses may run 15 to 20 minutes late due to conditions and alternate routes.
