Fort Worth beats Thunder 5-1

Fort Worth scored the game’s first five goals and beat the Wichita Thunder 5-1 on Wednesday night in Fort Worth, the Brahmas’ first win against the Thunder in five meetings this season.

The Brahmas led 1-0 after the first period and added two goals in the second. Fort Worth put the game away with two power-play goals within 44 seconds early in the final period.

Kevin Young scored the Thunder’s only goal at 5:54 of the third period.

The teams will play on Friday in Wichita, the third consecutive game against each other.
