Man walks into hospital with gunshot wound to head

Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Tuesday night in south Wichita.

A man with a head wound walked into Via Christi Hospital on East Harry just before 7:45 p.m. said he had been shot in the head, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. The man told police the incident occurred in the 1600 block of South Santa Fe, which is near Harry between Broadway and Washington.

The man was transferred to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis for treatment of his injury.
