Lights on St. Paul extending its hours

  • Published Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at 12:21 p.m.

The Lights on St. Paul, a display of 1.2 million Christmas lights, is extending its closing times.

The display will be open from 5:30 to 10 p.m. from Wednesday through Dec. 28, adding an additional hour to weeknights and Sunday. On Christmas Eve, it will be open until 11:55 p.m. Children will be able to take photos with Santa on Thursday through Sunday.

The Lights on St. Paul benefits the Arc of Sedgwick County, which provides programs and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc expects to raise more than $100,000 through year-end contributions and donations collected at the Lights on St. Paul.

Drivers should enter the display heading west from Meridian on Douglas to St. Paul Street. The route goes through The Arc and Independent Living Resource Center parking lots.
