Robert the Goofball, a 2-year-old male German shepherd-Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Are we going outside? I love going on walks. Then afterward maybe we can throw a tennis ball around. That sounds like a pretty active day to me. I’ll probably fall fast asleep next to you. You should visit with me at KHS. I bet we’ll have a lot of fun together.

Also available:

•  Jacques the Goofball, 4-year-old male pug mix

Hi, I’m Jacques. My name is much more exotic than my interests. I’m actually an old-fashioned type. I like going on short walks, chewing on a rawhide, and taking naps with my human friends.

•  Roderick the Kitten, 3-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

Hi, I hope you like to play. I’m a big fan of playing. I also hope you don’t mind me sleeping in the same spot on the sofa for a while. Oh, I bet we’ll have a blast together. You should come down to KHS and visit with me.

• Flower the Sidekick, 4-year-old female cat, domestic medium-hair mix

This Kansas wind makes it difficult to keep my beautiful hair looking nice. Oh well, I can just lie in your lap and you’ll pet me, right? You should come to KHS and visit with me. You’ll probably hear me purring once you walk in.

• Lovey the Lovebird, age unknown

Chirp. I think I’ll just cling on to the side of the cage here. I’ll show off my elegant colors if you don’t mind. I’d be a great addition to a home looking for a small pet that’s easy to care for.
