A man wearing a blue Carhart jacket and blue surgical mask walked into the Rose Hill State Bank on Webb Road just before 10 a.m. Thursday and asked the teller for change for a $20 bill.

When she opened the till drawer, he asked for more money.

“Do you have an account here?” the teller asked.

“This is a robbery,” he replied.

Wichita police provided that account Friday and said authorities are still looking for the suspect in the robbery at 2110 N. Webb Road. Surveillance images may be released later Friday, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

He is a white male about 50 years old, 5-feet-10 and 170 pounds with a thin build. He had on a dark stocking cap and dark, thick-framed glasses. No weapon was seen or indicated. His voice was raspy.

Initial reports from a dispatch supervisor stated the robber wore an orange surgical mask, but Nolte said his information is that the mask was blue.
