Man forced to strip while robbers ransack house

A man was forced to strip and stand naked in the corner of a room while robbers ransacked his house late Thursday night in southeast Wichita, police said.

The 34-year-old victim said three armed men came into his house in the 2600 block of East Grail, near Harry and George Washington Boulevard, shortly after 10 p.m. and ordered him to strip and stand in the corner of his living room, Lt. Doug Nolte said. As one suspect held him at gunpoint, the other two looked for valuables.

As the other two were leaving, Nolte said, the suspect holding the victim at gunpoint pulled the trigger. But there was merely a click, not a gunshot.

The victim knew the street name for one of the suspects, Nolte said, but did not know the others.

They left the area in a red Dodge Intrepid.
