It’ll be another breezy day in the Wichita area today, forecasters say, as temperatures climb near 60 on a sunny day.

South winds will be in the teens, with gusts nearing 30 miles an hour. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s, with a few clouds and winds easing into the low teens.

Friday brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 50s. South winds will intensify as the day unfolds, strengthening from the low teens to the low 20s. Gusts could top 30 miles an hour.

Sunshine is expected to return for the weekend, forecasters say, though temperatures will retreat into the 40s for highs by Sunday.
