A launch party for a new “social design clothing company” called Empir Threads will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at Mead’s Corner, 430 E. Douglas.

Empir Threads founder and owner Brad Perkins said the site will allow customers to design their own clothing using Empir brand logos and backgrounds.

The site, www.EmpirThreads.com, is currently in beta testing but will go live in conjunction with the party. The party will include refreshments and opportunities to sign up on the site and design clothing.

Designs will be saved to an online gallery from which other customers can order and can be shared on social media sites.

The clothing ordered online will be printed through Empir’s local partner, Gear for You, and shipped to customers, Perkins said.

Clothing prices will range from $26 to $38.
