Fire damages house in Haysville

Fire that started on the back porch damaged a house in Haysville early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Laura, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. Two adults who live at the home south of Grand and east of the Kansas Turnpike managed to escape without injury.

No cause or damage estimate have been released yet. The Red Cross was called out to assist the victims.
