Wichita police are checking to see if a man arrested Friday night in south Wichita is responsible for more than half a dozen robberies since early November.
The 34-year-old man was arrested at about 9 p.m. at San Pablo and Lincoln by officers following up on evidence and tips from residents, Lt. Joe Schroeder said.
He was booked into jail on suspicion of robbing the D & T Station at 895 S. Woodlawn, next to Lincoln, at 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 28. Two other men with him at the time of his apprehension were also questioned, Schroeder said.
Investigators think the suspect may be responsible for as many as seven other robberies since early November. Most of those cases involve convenience stores, Schroeder said.
