Man dies after being stabbed at party

Wichita police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old man who died early Sunday following being stabbed in southeast Wichita.

The stabbing happened in the 2000 block of White Oak Drive, near Pawnee and Rock Road.

The man was attending a party at that location when, at around 1 a.m., he was stabbed. He was driven by friends to Via Christi Hospital on East Harry. He died shortly after being transferred to the Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis.

Wichita police have yet to arrest a suspect in the stabbing; however police detectives are interviewing people who attended the party.
