Correction: An earlier version of this story contained an incorrect intersection in the headline.

A 28-year-old man was rushed in serious condition to a local hospital early Sunday with 20 stab wounds.

The man was walking with a friend in the 1000 block of S. Broadway around 2 a.m. on Sunday when the two were approached in an alley by a 35-year-old man, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman with the Wichita Police Department.

The 28-year-old man and the 35-year-old man had a past disturbance, Brunscheen said, and the suspect began stabbing the victim multiple times.

“None of the wounds are listed as life threatening,” Brunscheen said.

The man suffered stab wounds to his back, neck, head and face.
