An early morning fire at an apartment building in Lawrence on Friday is being linked to a string of suspected arsons that now total 15, officials said Friday.
The small fire at 1809 W. 25th St. was reported in a stairwell at 2:30 a.m. and was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries.
Officials believe it is related to a spate of arsons in the city that began Oct. 19. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
