Police trying to identify suspect in liquor store robbery

Wichita police are trying to identify a robber who held up Lamar’s Liquor Stop, 1014 W. Pawnee about 6:50 p.m. Thursday.

Lt. Doug Nolte said the robber, who was armed with a black handgun, took cash from the register and a cellphone from a clerk.

The robber, who was described as a black man in his 20s who is about 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, was wearing a striped polo shirt a tan stocking cap. Anyone who recognizes the robber is asked to call 911.
