A 22-year-old gang member was treated for gunshot wounds to the side and leg after a shooting Wednesday night in the 1600 block of East Tulsa in south Wichita, police said.

Lt. Doug Nolte said the victim was driven to Via Christi Hospital on East Harry about 11 p.m. as officers were responding to a shots-fired call on East Tulsa, which is near Hydraulic and 31st Street South.

Nolte said the victim, who did not suffer life-threatening injuries, was unable to identify the person who shot him.
