Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sedgwick County will hold an event that for the first time is designed to target men to serve as mentors for boys.

“Guys Night Out” will start at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fox and Hound Bar & Grill, 1421 N. Waterfront Parkway. Appetizers will be served while guests will get a chance to learn about the mentoring program or sign up, spokeswoman Cara Kliewer said.

About three-fourths of the 700 children in Sedgwick County who are on BBBS’s waiting list are boys, she said. For more information or to make reservations, call 316-263-3300.
