A fire Saturday that caused an estimated $500,000 in damage and destroyed a warehouse on South Washington remains under investigation, Wichita fire Capt. Stuart Bevis said Wednesday.

Investigators are checking debris being pulled from the ruins, Bevis said.

The warehouse, at Lewis and Washington near downtown, contained auto and truck parts, including tires, a fire official said previously.

No one was injured.
