Wichita police were searching Sunday for a 27-year-old man who held three people hostage with a shotgun.

Police were called to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of North Meridian shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday.

The man, who was known to the three individuals, was gone but had left the shotgun at the scene, according to Sgt. Scott Brunow, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The victims were a 35-year-old man, a 29-year woman and her 11-month old daughter.
