Reserve quarterback Kody Cook passed for 272 yards and five touchdowns, leading Hutchinson to a 41-21 victory over Iowa Central on Saturday in the Salt City Bowl in Hutchinson.

Hutchinson starting quarterback Luke Barnes suffered a broken bone in his hand early in the game. He continued to play, though ineffectively. Barnes, who set the school record with 3,256 passing yards this season, was 6 of 14 for 46 yards before being replaced by Cook late in the first half.

Cook, a wide receiver for the Blue Dragons who played quarterback in high school at Louisburg, hit Miguel Johns for a 32-yard touchdown pass to tie the score 7-7. Cook and Johns combined for another TD before halftime, and connected for two more touchdowns in the second half.

Terrell Lane rushed for 96 yards Saturday, and finished with a Hutchinson season record 1,632 yards.
