A disturbance and reports of shots fired early Saturday morning brought Wichita police to a bar on South Meridian, but they couldn’t determine much after they arrived.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police were called to The Heat Sports Bar and Grill at the corner of Meridian and McCormick. About 50 people were involved in a disturbance, Sgt. Bruce Watts said.

“Apparently shots were fired,” he said. “We didn’t find anybody that had been shot. We don’t know who did the shooting. At this point, no one has showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds.”

Watts said shell casings from two different caliber handguns were found in the parking lots.
