Fireworks and Santa

The city of Wichita will hold a Night with Santa from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Century II, 225 W. Douglas. The event will begin with a tree lighting ceremony with Mayor Carl Brewer at 6 p.m. The event will then move to the Exhibition and Convention Hall, where activities including carnival games, prize drawings, a cake walk and bingo. The event will conclude with fireworks over the Arkansas River. Admission is free. Donations of food for the Kansas Food Bank will be accepted. Photos with Santa are available for purchase for $6.

Benefit Christmas concert

Wichita’s Youth Horizons will hold a benefit Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre, 3207 E. Douglas. Performers will include Youth Horizons President Earnest Alexander and the cast and orchestra of Crown Uptown’s “White Christmas.” Tickets for the show are $25 and include dessert. Christmas in Delano

Christmas in Delano, an event hosted by Historic Delano, will run from 10 a.m. to dusk Saturday in the Delano district. The event includes entertainment, children’s activities and a Santa visit. A vintage home tour will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., and a lighting ceremony will take place at the clock tower at 5 p.m., where new toys, pantry food items and new or gently used coats and blankets for the needy will be collected all afternoon.
