Don Juan the Teacher’s Pet, a 5-year-old male pug mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

I'm such a good student, you can teach me anything. I already know how to be a loving companion, so you don't have to cover that. As you can see, I'm adorable as well. Come to KHS and visit with me.

Also available:

• Tiny the Busy Bee, 3-year-old male beagle-terrier mix

I’m a dog on a mission – to be the best companion you could ask for. I’ll be by your side during walks and naps. Doesn’t that sound great?

•  Harrison the Sidekick, 4-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m a cheerful cat who loves hanging out with my people friends. I’m a big fan of playing “catch the string” and taking naps. Stop by KHS and visit with me today, and we can start hanging out right away.

• Nolte the Kitten, 5-month-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

Everything is so fun and playful. I can make a game out of anything. Stop by KHS and visit with me. We could start a lifetime of playing right away.

•  Emily the Personal Assistant, 1-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

I will be your purrfect lap kitty. I'm so content in a lap with a friendly hand to pet me. I'm a sweet little girl who wants to hang out with people and have a fun time.
