It’s become a holiday tradition: The Wichita Eagle opens its doors and invites its readers to chat with writers, get an up-close look at the presses in action, and enjoy a cookie or two.

This year’s annual Holiday Open House will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the newspaper, 825 E. Douglas.

As always, the event will include building tours, photos with Santa taken by an Eagle photographer, live Christmas music and caroling, prize giveaways and warm beverages from the Spice Merchant.

A new feature this year: Eagle photographers have put together a new exhibit of their best shots from the past few years, which will be displayed in a first-floor photo gallery.

Visitors also will be able to talk with the Eagle’s executives, writers, photographers, advertising representatives and more.

Admission is free. For more information, call 316-268-6406.
