Police are looking for a woman who punctuated an argument with her boyfriend by stabbing him in the back with a steak knife Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Old Manor, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s southwest of Harry and Edgemoor in southeast Wichita.

The 28-year-old man was arguing with his 20-year-old live-in girlfriend when she grabbed the knife and stabbed him. He ran out of the residence and contacted a friend, who took him to Via Christi Hospital on East Harry for treatment. The wound is not life-threatening, Nolte said.
