A 20-year-old Augusta man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when his SUV left the roadway as he was exiting K-61 at Avenue A and rolled twice.
Brett W. Corby was northbound on K-61 in a 2003 Ford Escape when the accident occurred at 2:42 p.m., according to Hutchinson police officer Matthew Rucker. Corby’s SUV left the roadway, spun and rolled twice down an embankment, Rucker said.
Corby, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a head laceration and was airlifted to a Wichita hospital, but he was conscious and talking before being transported, according to Rucker.
