WSU women drop third straight in Cancun

The Wichita State women’s basketball team lost for the third consecutive day in Cancun, Mexico, falling to James Madison 63-58 on Saturday.

The Shockers led for parts a closely-fought first half and trailed by two points and halftime. James Madison used a 13-4 run midway through the second half to take control and led by 11 points with 2:57 to play.

Jessica Diamond had 14 points for WSU and Jazimen Gordon added 10. Tarik Hislop scored 30 for James Madison (3-3).

The Shockers (2-4) return home to play Grambling on Tuesday night.
