Wichita police are looking for a man who robbed an east Lincoln convenience store Friday evening.

Wichita police Sgt. Bruce Watts said at about 6:30 p.m. Friday a man with a 6-inch-long kitchen knife entered a convenience store at 7101 E. Lincoln, near Governeour.

He ordered the clerk to the floor while holding the knife towards him, Watts said Saturday.

The suspect leaned over the counter and took an unknown amount of money from the cash register, Watts said. The robber left on foot and the clerk was not injured, Watts said.

Police are looking for a man in his 30s who is 6-foot-2, about 200 pounds, wearing a stocking cap, gray coat and black gloves, Watts said.
