Best of show — Paul Russell and Company not only scored a prestigious best of show win at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, it also paid the good news forward, raising $60,000 for McPherson College’s Automotive Restoration Program.

The winning 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo Roadster was the highlight of a fund-raising event in Essex, Mass., and attracted numerous high-end auto restoration enthusiasts, including Jay Leno, who donated to the cause.

"We are thrilled to champion the Automotive Restoration Program at McPherson College and to have program graduates involved in a restoration project of this magnitude — an exquisite example of the coachbuilt-era motorcar," said Russell, an advisory board member of the college’s unique restoration program.
