Our national debt tripled over the past 10 years. Six of those years were during the Bush administration. Why do Republicans have such a hard time admitting to their contribution to the “fiscal cliff”?

Under unprecedented pressure from the Obama administration, General Motors is trying to sell the Chevy Volt. Electric cars may someday be popular, but today they are an expensive disaster. President Obama should be encouraging tax reductions and much-needed job creation rather than pipe dreams.

It is too bad the Republicans pay lip service to Christian belief. The only belief I see is anti-abortion. The Democratic Party is open to all beliefs, and lives by the principle of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I believe the Republicans are in self-destruct mode.

What kind of leader sends someone with an impressive title out to the media to explain a subject, then a month later says you can’t say anything negative about her because she didn’t know what she was talking about?

Oh, I was looking forward to Nov. 6 so the political opinions would cease. But, no. Please, people, the election is over.

People who complain about unions have obviously never worked where there is a union.

“Serious secessionist” should join “military intelligence” in the oxymoron hall of fame.

One of the big problems our society has is that many of us believe it is wiser to spend time and money on promoting guns and conceal-carry than to spend time and money on mental health awareness and treatment and removal of its stigma.

I think it is odd that as a society we are OK with people walking around with weapons that can kill in an instant, but people can’t smoke marijuana in their own homes legally.

I am concerned about a car, driving east, hitting the cement guardrail on the new Lincoln Street bridge. The street does not line up with the bridge.

So many bitter opinions. How many more days until the return of carefree summer days with all that glorious cleavage?

I can no longer bear to watch the three morning news shows on the major networks. The cutesy talk and giggling are exasperating. Tripping over one another’s words while commenting on pig and monkey videos does not seem like news.
