K-State women beat Tennessee State

Haley Texada came off the bench to score 17 points, leading the Kansas State women’s basketball team to a 62-47 win over Tennessee State on Tuesday nigth in Nashville, Tenn.

K-State’s lead at halftime was just three points, 28-25. Texada, a sophomore guard, scored 14 in the second half, including nine straight during one stretch to help the Wildcats take control.

Senior Brittany Chambers had 14 points and nine rebounds for K-State. Kendra Spresser had nine points and 12 rebounds. Ashia Woods was plagued by foul problems, fouling out in 22 minutes.
