Sedgwick County commissioners will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday to talk about next year’s legislative agenda.
The meeting is open to the public and will be in the commission’s meeting room on the third floor of the courthouse at 525 N. Main St. in Wichita.
Commissioners will focus on what they want included in the legislative platform, which outlines the county’s priorities for the next year.
The agenda for this year is available at www.sedgwickcounty.org/communications/2012_legislative_platform.asp.
It included support for Affordable Airfares and requested more state money to house felons in jail as well as more funding for programs to prevent crimes among juveniles.
Commissioners vote on the platform every year. It is a fluid document and changes as issues come to the county’s attention.
