Support group formed for people with arthritis, lupus or fibromyalgia

  • Published Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 11:39 p.m.

A new support group has formed in Wichita for people who have arthritis, lupus or fibromyalgia.

The new group, called ALF, was formed after three women who have fibromyalgia found that there was no support group for them locally. The three participate at the Independent Resource Living Center, where meetings of the group are being held the first and third Thursdays of each month.

The center is at 3033 W. Second St. Hours of the meetings are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Snacks are provided, and participants can bring their lunch. For more information, call Jennifer Moore at 316-942-6300 or 800-479-6861.
