An armed man robbed the Food Mart on North Market early Sunday morning, police said, but it wasn’t reported to authorities for 16 hours.

The robbery occurred just before 12:25 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Market, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The robber came in, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money and tobacco products.

There were two other people in the store at the time of the robbery, but they were not confronted or harmed. Nolte said it’s not clear why the robbery wasn’t reported until late Sunday afternoon.
