Someone broke into Ballinger Trash Service in west Wichita over the weekend and stole a safe, police say.
The burglary was discovered by an employee at 6 a.m. Monday at the business, which is at 405 N. Baehr, southwest of Central and West Street, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
The burglar forced the front door open and then stole the safe and some cash, Nolte said.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
