Pete the Busy Bee, a 9-year-old male Jack Russell Terrier mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

I'm a handsome guy. When we go for walks, people will surely stop to admire me. I’m not all about looks, though. My personality is as bright as the sun. My only request is that I be in a home with no cats. You should stop by KHS and visit with me today.

Also available:

• Cameron the Busy Bee, 4-year-old female Australian Cattle Dog mix

Can you tell that I’m excited to see you? It’ll be like that every day. I’ll make even the coldest days warm with my adoration for you. I can bring a smile and a laugh to any face. Come to KHS and visit with me today. I know we’ll be a perfect match.

•  Babes the Personal Assistant, 6-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m the cat you’ve been looking for. You won’t have to look hard for me at your home. I’ll always be out, greeting you, sleeping in your favorite chair and playing around in the living room. That sounds like great fun, doesn’t it? Come to KHS and visit with me today.

•  Simba the Personal Assistant, 4-year-old male cat, domestic long-hair mix

I’m Simba: Hear my mighty meow. I’m destined to be the cat king of your recliner. But that doesn’t mean I’m not up for some fun and games. I’ve had a blast with my toy mouse, and I’ve heard about a string that moves on its own and is impossible to catch. Sounds like I’ve got some exploring to do.

•  Onion the hamster, female, age unknown

Hi, I’m Onion. I like rolling around in hamster balls and running about in my cage. I’m an easy-to-care-for animal, which make me a great first pet. You should stop by KHS and visit me today. I bet we will have all sorts of fun adventures.
