Two more recruits sign
Kansas officially added two more players to its 2013 recruiting class on Thursday. Center Joel Embiid, a 7-footer from Gainesville, Fla., and swingman Brannen Greene (Tifton, Ga.) became the second and third players to sign national letters of intent with the Jayhawks.
“Joel’s potential is untapped,” Self said. “He will develop and be one of the very best tall guys in college basketball in just a year or two.”
As for Greene, the No. 25 overall player in the country, according to rivals.com, Self said: “Brannen is one of the most skilled 6-foot-7 guys in the country.”
Young back
Senior forward Kevin Young, playing in just his second game back from a hand injury, gave the Jayhawks a spark off the bench, finishing with five points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes.
