Restaurants offer to cook, serve the Thanksgiving meal

Thanksgiving dinner doesn’t have to require basting the turkey, doing the dishes and calling the plumber to plunge the potato peels out of the clogged garbage disposal.

Several restaurants in town are volunteering to do all of that for you.

Here is this year’s list of restaurants open and serving traditional meals on Thanksgiving Day, which is Thursday.

Bishop’s Family Dining, 4200 W. Kellogg, 316-943-0393. Buffet is $10.99 for adults, $10.49 for seniors, $4.59 for ages 3-10, free for ages 2 and under. Drinks included. Served 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. No reservations.

Cinnabar Cafe, inside the Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive, 316-651-0333. Buffet is $22.95 for adults, $18.95 for seniors 62 and older, $9.95 for ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under. Seatings every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Furr’s Family Dining, 1606 S. Georgetown, 316-618-9850. Buffet is $10.69 for adults, $10.29 for seniors, $4.69 for ages 8-10, $3.99 for ages 3-7, free for ages 2 and under. Drinks included. Served 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. No reservations.

Golden Corral, 616 S. Ridge Road Circle, 316-945-5100, and 11006 E. Kellogg, 316-686-0669. Buffet is $12.99 for adults, $12.39 for seniors, $6.99 for ages 11-12, $5.99 for ages 7-10, $4.99 for ages 4-6, and free for ages 3 and under. Served 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. No reservations.

Green Mill Restaurant, 549 S. Rock Road, 316-687-6455. Buffet is $16.95 for adults, $9.95 for ages 4 to 10, free for ages 3 and under. Served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Hyatt Regency, 400 W. Waterman, 316-613-6222. Buffet served in the Riverview Ballroom is $24 for adults, $12 for children 5-12, free for children 4 and under. Seatings at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Hereford House, 1400 Terradyne Drive, Andover, 316-733-7800. Buffet is $19.95 for adults from 10 to 11 a.m. and $22.95 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s $9.95 for children 5 to 11 and free for ages 4 and under from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Hometown Buffet, 6820 W. Central, 316-942-4334. Buffet is $11.99 for adults, $11.49 for seniors, $5.99 for ages 8-11, $3.99 for ages 4-7, $1.99 for ages 2-3 and free for age 1 and under. Served 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. No reservations.

Legends, inside the Double Tree by Hilton, 2098 Airport Road, 316-945-1966. Buffet is $23.95 for adults, $18.95 for seniors, $9.95 for ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under. Served 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations required.

Piccadilly Grill, 7728 E. Central, 316-681-1100. Buffet is $19.99 for adults, $17.99 for seniors, $8.99 for ages 5-12, free for ages 4 and under. Served 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservations.

Solo’s Diner, 6815 W. Kellogg, 316-942-5756: Buffet is $17.99 for adults, $15.99 for seniors 55 and older, $6.99 for ages 3-12 and free for ages 2 and under. Served 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Spear’s Restaurant and Pie Shop, 4323 W. Maple, 316-943-2783. Buffet (with pie included) is $12.79 for adults, $6.40 for ages 5-10, free for ages 4 and under with a paying adult. Served 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservations.

Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro, 8115 E. 21st St., 316-634-1000. Buffet is $25 for adults, $11 for ages 6-11, free for ages 5 and under. Seatings available at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reservations required.

Zaytun, 2020 N. Woodlawn, 316-613-2474: This Mediterranean restaurant will be open and serving a buffet that features Mediterranean-style turkey, lamb and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $13.95, $9.95 for ages 5 to 10, free for children 4 and under. Reservations accepted.

Non-buffet options

Newport Grill, 1900 N. Rock Road, 316-636-9555. Serving plated dinners featuring choice of entree, plus soup, salad, sides and dessert. Dinners are $24 for adults, $12 for ages 6-12, $3 for ages 5 and under. Served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Stroud’s, 3661 N. Hillside, 316-838-2454. Diners can choose from roast turkey or country ham, both served with traditional sides. Dinners are $19.95, $9.95 for ages 10 and under. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations recommended.

Cracker Barrel, 995 E. 61st St. North, Park City, 316-744-8080. Open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serving a traditional turkey dinner along with the regular menu.

Denny’s, 5700 W. Kellogg, 316-942-9662; 4024 E. Harry, 316-683-8362; 8030 E. Kellogg, 316-682-1008. Open 24 hours. Serving a traditional turkey dinner along with the regular menu.

Village Inn, 3535 S. Meridian, 316-946-9000; 1685 S. Rock Road, 316-687-4454; 7020 W. Central, 316-945-2400. Open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and serving a traditional turkey dinner along with the regular menu.
